Grandparents Can Play Too!

Not just for Grandparents! This is a fun session that gives participants the opportunity to think about shared play experiences, with plenty of ideas for things to play and do with younger members of the family.
What you will do:
• Identify what a Grandparents role may be
• Explore the needs of your Grandchildren and you
• Learn games and activities to play and do together

A course that offers parents and carers fun, practical activities and play ideas that can be shared with the family. Learn new ways to spend time and be creative together!

What you will learn:
• Make and do activities
• The importance of play and activities in a child’s life
• Healthy eating
• ‘Stress Out’ – into well being and time out for parents and carers
• Setting boundaries and building possibilities
Who is the course for?
Parents and carers of children, and professionals working with families

Playwork for Development Workers
26th February 2010 9.30 –4.30
A day course that looks at some of the current theories used in playwork and how they can be applied in practice in a variety of settings. Participants will be able to develop their knowledge and understanding of children’s play and how good playwork practice supports this.
What you will learn:
• Key playwork theories
• Key issues involved when supporting good practice
• How to promote and support good playwork practice
Who is the course for?
Development Officers, managers, community workers, and anyone involved in projects where children play
