Uncommon Sense: Skills for Sustainable Living
Ever wanted to be more self-sufficient? To learn skills that will help you to live a more sustainable lifestyle? With Ecoworks workshops covering a range of skills for sustainable living this summer, there has never been a better time to learn.
Upcoming workshops on the Ecoworks gardens will empower you to create your own Green Roof, bake your own delicious World-Breads, build your own outdoor oven and even make art using vegetable inks.
Other workshops will cover growing, nature conservation, foraging, preserving and more. For more information visit www.ecoworks.org.uk.
Community Garden Weekend Opening
We’re aware that many of our friends, volunteers and partners are busy during the week, and that sometimes the daily routine of the city can feel a million miles from the peace and quiet of a beautiful garden. That's why we'll be throwing open the Community Garden on selected Saturdays through the summer! It's free and it's for everyone, especially those who are busy in during the week. Come and let us replace the sounds of cars beeping with birdsong, whistling kettles and chopping wood. First, pop these are the dates in your diary:
Saturday 9th July, 23rd July, 6th August and 20th August
The sessions will run from1-4pm, with a minibus pick-up at 12:45 from opposite Wagammama’s at the cornerhouse in town. For those able to make their own way down.Now, please ring 01159622200 or reply to this message to confirm your place or ask any questions, and feel free to bring your friends too. We'll stick the kettle on.&n! bsp;

We’re looking to extend our catering services with a sessional chef. If you’re a chef who is excited by vegetarian food and would like to get involved, then we might just have a job for you!
